First, ask yourself where you want to direct your customers and what it is you are trying to achieve. If you’re trying to boost sales with a promotion, it’s a good idea to direct customers to a promotional code on your website. If you’re simply just trying to get your name out, you can create a QR Code that uploads your contact information into their phone, or sends you an SMS, or even calls your number.
Alternatively, you may display a QR Code on your product labels so your customers can retrieve further information about your product, with a simple scan.

Just be sure to keep a few things in mind – the webpage you direct your customers to should be mobile-friendly, make sure to provide the full country code and area codes for all telephone numbers, and check to ensure your QR Code is scannable.
Also, remember that creating a QR Code that links to a webpage, and displaying this QR Code on a webpage, may not be very beneficial, considering a simple hyperlink would be just as useful. And lastly, it’s a good idea to mention what your customers will be direct to, just in case they have some hesitation.
