Manage Your Time…And Get More Done!

We all would be so much more successful if we were to just be able to manage our time better. You know, prioritize better, handle distractions better, be more efficient, and just simply not DO certainly things we don’t need to do.

But it’s so much easier said than done. On the bright side though, time management is a skill, much like the other skills that we have. You just need to know some of the fundamental dos and don’ts, and have the motivation to stick to them!

Here are our top five tips to making sure you stay on track:

  1. Make a list of your priorities, in order of highest priority. Be realistic about how many you can tackle each day, and assign them to a specific day. Hardest part of all – don’t skip to the next task until you’ve fully completed each one!
  2. Find a place that is comfortable and distraction-less, so that you can actually work efficiently. Distractions can be anything from a comfortable bed in the corner of your office or room, to a busy coffee shop, to the Internet, your cellphone, or TV.
  3. Work in a space that is clutter-free. The more clutter there is, the more frustrated and overwhelmed you will feel, and the less you will get done.
  4. When working on any task, ask yourself how you can finish it sooner or with less effort? Can you complete the task faster if someone more experienced were to help you?
  5. Don’t concentrate on tasks that are not very important, especially if it won’t make much of a difference in the long run. Focus on important tasks that are crucial and will bring you results!
