Dream Big, Start Small

Since 1963, we’ve been celebrating National Small Business Week, a time when we recognize the impact small businesses have on our economy and on our thriving communities. And it just so happens that this week is National Small Business Week from May 4-8! We’re excited to recognize all the small businesses in our community, not to mention the small businesses that we cater to as a print provider.

In fact, more than half of Americans either own or work for a small business, and given the job growth as of late in America, this number is only growing. Small businesses provide jobs, drive innovation and build our communities, and contribute to the American Dream. They deserve an annual recognition, don’t you think? So for all you small business owners, entrepreneurs or dreamers out there, this week is for you. We’ll be posting helpful tips and resources, so be sure to stay up to date. And if you aren’t a small business owner, why not purchase from small businesses this week to show your support?

To start the week off, check out these helpful tips and resources from Google on how to get your business on the map (they’re also offering some *free* offers along the way!).

If you haven’t already, make sure your business is listed on Google and Yahoo. Google is offering a great offer: when you claim your listing this week, you could be one of 100 randomly selected businesses to get a 360 degree virtual tour photoshoot, valued at $255!

Don’t forget to check out the SBA’s (Small Business Administration) website for information on upcoming events for NSBW, as well as resources for small businesses.

Here’s the schedule of events for the week. Register for these events before they sell out, or visit sba.gov to tune in to the live webinars.
