What do you write on baby announcement cards?
Pregnancy and birth announcements don’t require much – For pregnancies, you can include a professional photo of you and your partner in the theme of announcing a pregnancy. Messaging should be fairly simple, such as “The [last name]’s are expecting! Baby arriving [month] [year]” but you can also get creative if you have a theme or a pun in mind.
Birth announcements usually include a photo of your newborn, the baby’s name, date of birth, weight, and inches.
When do you send out baby announcements?
It’s best to send out your announcements as soon as possible, but the general etiquette says you have up to six months after the birth of your baby to send them out. Everyone knows you have your hands full, so don’t worry about being super punctual when it comes to this!
